Watch the "Death Of A Bachelor" Video

Hello, beautifuls. It’s me, Brendon.

I wanna tell you that I love you.

Right now, I’m sitting at my piano. The same place that I wrote a lot of my new album “Death Of A Bachelor” (out January 15th on the internet or anywhere CDs are sold if you’re someone who leaves their house; ::end of shameless plug::). And, actually, I’m sitting where I wrote the song of the same name. Holiday decorations at my back. Fire burning low. ‘A Muppet Christmas Carol’ playing in the background.

Maybe it’s the holiday spirit or maybe it’s this Disney movie, but I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you and can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on.

So here’s a video I shot for the song “Death Of A Bachelor”. Something to hold you over until the album comes out (again, it comes out January 15th, just in case you were wondering or you just forgot).

Anyway, I hope your holiday break is awesome and that you can deal with your family’s awkwardness with grace and patience. I love and appreciate you. Happy new year!

Death Of A Bachelor is coming on January 15th - pre-order now!

When I was a little kid and I heard a song I liked on tv, I would jump up and run to the piano to try and figure it out by ear. When I was 10 or 11, I built myself a drum kit in the garage made out of empty laundry detergent buckets, old lawn chairs, paint cans, and old trash cans. Around that time, my parents got me my first guitar. A baby acoustic. I jumped between all of these instruments constantly to satisfy the ideas I heard in my head. At this young age, I realized that music would play a huge part in my life. I had no idea.

“Death Of A Bachelor” is in honor of those times I spent alone as a kid. Allowing music to consume me. Playing everything myself just to get the idea right and out of my head. It’s a beginning to a new era. And an homage to how it all began.

This album is me. Running to the piano. Building a drum kit. Strumming a guitar.

Some things never change.

Turn up the crazy & listen to "Victorious" - out now!

I was never really great at sports. Never picked first for the team. Never had any game saving plays or tricks I could use to my advantage to then be hoisted upon my team mates’ shoulders in praise of my winning awesomeness.

But what I missed in that regard, I made up for in passion and intensity. The guy who was known for turning up the crazy. The guy who said “fuck it I’ll do it.”

That’s truly victorious. Giving it your all when it’s all you have. Giving ‘em hell to get a taste of heaven. So I say give 'em a taste of your poison. Turn up the crazy.

Tonight, we are victorious.
